Giving 4 stars only because Parking is not well paved and the location is just atop a steep road almost 70 degree inclination. I almost ruined my car, needed to change clause pad. Ruined my mood in total. I suggest find a way to avoid steep inclination of the way out.
The management otherwise is perfect - antique design, typical Newari food, good looking newari attire, quick service, yummy taste, good security and good popularity.

Extremely disappointed. Came with such a high expectations ( was visiting from the UK) but turned out to be a poor quality food restaurant with a astronomical price. We were greeted by loads of very nice and polite staff, seated at no time, order was taken sharply and first item Swapumichha arrived literally in less than 1 minute!!! We said to the waiter it can’t be ours as we literally placed the order, but he confirmed it was ours. How is it possible to prepare a Seapumichha in less than one minute (possible if it was already pre-cooked and microwaved)? Most of the items were served cold and I had to ask them to reheat. Worst one was MOMO, it wasn’t cooked properly as my daughter doubted and showed us the MOMOS couple of us tried and it was definitely not cooked. We asked staff to exchange it for a cooked one, he returned back after few minutes saying they have checked all the MOMOS and only the one which we left half opened on the plate wasn’t cooked so he will only replace remaining of the MOMOs. We felt disgusted with the restaurant approach, they thought we have eaten some of the MOMOs and complaining to get full plate again. What a shame! We were 100% conscience most of the items served to us was from night before and microwaved to reheat it. With this kind of poor service we asked for the bill straight away and left the restaurant in less than 30 mins whereas we were planning to spend 2-3 hours.
I wouldn’t go there anymore, I am done with this restaurant.

5 star for Ambience, Vibe, Location, Decor, Design, Structure, Service.

2 star for Food. This place can be so much better if their food was as good as the vibe and ambience.

Sasa is one of the most famous restaurant for Newari local food.This is located in Kirtipur. Restaurant exterior and interior designed with local traditional culture. Great ambiance, suitable for families. Service staff was very helpful and friendly. They need to work on food taste, food was too spicy, flavour was mild. Rest amazing and recommend to visit.

A nice place for authentic Newari food and typical newari Vibes. Foods are good however they are bit pricey.

Very nice ambience, you feel like you are entering small Newari town. Very courteous and well trained staffs, has ample parking space. Alu-tama and momo could have been better, missing that authentic Newari taste.

Located in Kirtipur. This place is has that "Newari ethinc" touch to it. . You can spot this restaurant with it's outward hound of brick structured building with templed roof.
Very friendly environment, and the food especially Newari delicacies, you name it, they have it! Also the name "sasa" is of Newari language which translates as "in-laws" which in according to our culture, wherever you visit your in laws there is this importance of serving you with delicious varieties of food ,and also in a dignified way. So this restaurant motive serves it's name hoping to serve the guests in the same way.
