It is a wonderful place for picnic and short walk. I would recommend this place for nice view and fresh air and especially cave and during monsoon season, river looks so nice with the view. During clear day you can come for a photoshoot. Due to ticket system, it is well maintained and only at the back side of cave there are waste otherwise other places are nicely maintained and cleaned. There is a funpark near this park and a temple named jalvairab temple. So you can get three options in one go i.e small funpark, park and a temple and to make these all look more fascinating river just looks too good with many small caves near river. So I would recommend this people to those people who want a short walk and some fresh air or small group picnic.

Really nice place. I think this place and the surrounding area could be nice camping ground. Too bad the caves are closed. And the rope bridge is too close to the bridge for vehicles. It just ruins the view and the experience.

One of the most important temple of Ganesh binayak). It is widely known as Jal Binayak, at chovar, Kathmandu.
It's the gate of the River Bagmati. The old tales goes like this, the big mountain was cut through the sword. Manjushree, the power God had done it and made the entire place to stay.
It's one of the oldest and historically important temple. This is the only temple where we can see the true craftsmanship. The temples architecture will amaze everyone. It's fine artistic temple. When around lalitpur and Kathmandu, do visit Jal Binayak. It's worth visiting.

30 Rupees per person per entry is needed to get inside. Its good place to get a nice view of the nature away from the busy life of the city.
Recommended for refreshments.

The place is amazing during monsoons with lush green environment. It’s usually crowded during weekends and late evenings. It is sad to see people littering the place so recklessly. A request to everyone to be morally conscious of the waste they tend to leave behind. Please don’t litter.

It is believed that  Manjushree cut a gorge at Chobhar, near Chobhar Ancient Hill Village and drained away the waters to establish Kathmandu valley
