I thought it was closed for a renovation during the MCO and was looking forward to the new look but it still looks the same. Part of the ground floor is hoarded up. Although there are less shops now but still an interesting place to shop and enjoy the air conditioning. The kasturi walk outdoor is closed unfortunately. The lovely wau structures are still there.
Years ago there were many local artists painting on the spot and selling their original master pieces there. It was my all time No. 1 tourist spot which i showed off to my oversea guests. Now there are mainly souvenir shops and a place to shop for handicraft gifts. I collect fridge magnets and i still shop for good bargains here.
I used to lunch at the food court upstairs too. Now I parked here and eat at the many choices of shops nearby. Parking is quite limited though.

First time coming to this place. The central market is larger than expected (compared to the photos), and there are alot of interesting flea market like stalls and stalls selling collector's items.

Definitely better than Chinatown as it is air conditioned and sell local products instead of counterfeit stuff. There is a food court on the second floor.

Nice to have a modern air conditioned shopping experience to get away from the heat. An assortment of restaurants from Malay to Thai provide a good eating variety while the clothes shops range from cheap touristy fare to nicer boutiques. There is even a food mini museum inside that relays the history of the area.

There's plenty of art and souvenirs shops with interesting items for sale! This is an example of what we found! What a delightful array of colourful sandals of all types and sizes! Worth a visit for those who love such knick knacks and gifts.

Central Market is the Heart of all the Malaysian traditions come to life where there are cultural shows u0026 displays showcasing here. Treasures u0026 artifacts can be found here for the treasure hunters.
Arts u0026 crafts of Malaysian traditions and souvenir can be found for Tourists to bring back for found memories.

Love this place for random stores allaying around. Tons of foods and small sme stores to be supported. Inside got ac so no worries if you walk from the train station. Parking is also big space so no worries.

If you're a big fans of souvenirs, this place is a must visit. So many stores on the ground floor and 1st floor selling souvenirs. Public toilet located inside this facility so don't wait no more if you have severe explosive diarhea. Food court located on 1st floor.
Central market open from 10am onwards. But it is advisible for you to come at 11am the earliest. Because at 10am the merchant busy preparing their shop. Come early of you don't mind helping them sweeping the floor or something.
If you walk outside the central market you will notice so many homeless people. During my visit they are busy having breakfast. Sad. I hope the best for all of them.
