If you want to learn a little of India's culture, then this is the place. Also, in the mornings there are people selling foods. I particularly love the samosas here, you can find it in Lebuh king alley. It is the best samosa I have tried in Malaysia. THE BEST!!

As the name says, Little India is a small location in Penang where Malaysians can get all Indian products imported from India.

If you are tired of Malaysia food and would love to try Indian cuisine, Little India would be the best place. Also if you need groceries from India Supermarkets like Jayam, Subham and Revathi are the best place to get them.

What not to love about Little India?

This is our first night walk through Little India. Most of the shops close at about 10pm. Don't forget to try the bubur kacang. It's been in the business since 1946.

It's a 5mins walk from where we were staying in Lebuh Chulia, so parking was not an issue. But during other times if we came to Penang and checked in else where, we'd only drop by if there's parking.

Great experience of Indian culture - from food, clothing, jewellery, accessories, prayer items and many more. We usually come here for the food, while the girls shop for henna and accessories. Don't forget to try almond milk and herbal tea.

Since this is our first time visiting the place at night : Pros - not as hot as in the day time. Cons - many shops were about to close.

Anything Indian is available here. Plenty of beautiful textiles and street food. A nice place to have an evening walk.

Ambience looks cozy but can be improved with better ventilation u0026 air condition. Cleanliness of the table n chairs needs to improved.Waiting period was too long.
Chicken briyani u0026 chatti rice taste good. Its more like a homemade cooking.
However the Chili chicken was not up to expected taste, way too sweet.

The place also known as Market street. There are variety shops. The Indian Muslim Restaurant that serves chicken Briani, prata etc. Notice mNy herbs shops as well. Great place for shopping traditional Indian clothing like saree or kurta. Normally during Diwali the place really crowded. If you in Penang you should stop by.
