Good place to visit when you want authentic Nepali thali as well as Nepali food. They serve food in old style Nepali utensils so really enjoyed that. The thali was also really good. We also ordered hot chocolate, lassi u0026 veg pakora. Hot chocolate was just ????. Can you see the perfect lining of the hot chocolate w. the layers in the picture lol. The lassi was also really good with a perfect balance of everything. The pakora was also really good.

The Thakali set was average for a restaurant that is named as Thakali kitchen but the appetizers were pretty good; mostly the mutton bhutan, khotey momo and aloo sadeko. The service was pretty good and the amabinace is nice.

My worst experience.I was so optimistic from the lazimpat Branch and went to try this one. We wanted chyakhla but the service boy didn't want to serve any way. He said it will take lot of time. Then we ordered Khana set. It was served after 30 minutes. Then we found non edible matter on saag yuck ????????????????????. After again on another plate there was hair with food. Never going there again , seems quality has declied so far. There is no sign of sorry or anything when they found not edible matters in food.
Have to maintain their quality

This place serves very delicious Thanali food, except that this place also serves amazing other food items; but lots of improvements needed to be done is food items, especially on veg items. Place is very hygiene and clean. Separate cabinet are also available for your privacy. There is no problem with parking. This place is little premium but it worths it. Amazing place, take away is also available

Tried to surprise my sister for her 19th birthday party. I even talked over the phone and asked for permission if it was ok for the decorations. They said it was fine. Later when the decoration people came they said that they are not allowed to decorate as the interior is very expensive. If it was in the first place then why didn’t they tell me directly. Decoration people were telling me that they were rude. This is so unprofessional. I will not recommend anyone in this place because this place ruined my sister’s birthday surprise. Special day should be valued.

We had a bummer experience at this place. A complete nightmare spot for thakali gastronome . First of all, food was not on highway standard in terms of taste-wise. Saag was bland it has got zero salt mutton curry was tasteless and undercooked it was hard and chewy texture other sides are below average. We waited 5 min to ask the waiter for ghee to be served. We ordered Pangra fry as a starter which was served after we were almost over with thakali set. Pangra fry was literally Deep fried small 10 chunks of pangra with seasoning on the side. Another worst pangra fry I had in my life. Went to the washroom to wash our hands water was yellowish and orangish colour asked the server reason behind it they told us they just turn on the water motor????????????????

I wish I could leave 4.5 stars but everyone has a room to improve on.

It is my second time here. Initially came here in 2018 during my visit to Nepal. Over the years, I distinctly remembered the chicken momo they served was excellent.

Fast forward five years ahead, that little heavenly pieces of momos again was the highlight of my second visit (for me).

Mutton choila lacked punch in spices. So was bit underwhelming for my taste buds. My primary was the jerky (mutton) meat but they had ran out of it.

Veg thali which my Mrs had, according to her, was tasty too.

The only niggle that we found was the portion size. Now, it could be that Thali is supposed to be served in a smaller portion but here I observed the portion was below the average serving size. Again this is ours perception, so as the saying goes, beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

The rest was really great. Sweet lassi was light, crisp and cold just perfect for summer. French fries (chips) was as goog as it can be. My guests had veg momo, chow mein and chicken fried rice. They all liked it and in particular - yet again the (veg) momo came out on the top.

You guys should never change the momo recipe unless you guys can improve the recipe, which I think is a huge challenge.

Lastly, thank you for the great food, atmosphere and quality service. Until next time ????.
